In cases where both people getting married have children it is very important for each party to accept the children of the other.   This ceremony helps those children feel part of the new marriage and family.  Each child is accepted by the "New Parent" and is included in the ceremony. The Family Wedding Ceremony is a lovely ceremony embracing the children in words and with the Family Unity Candle. The Family Unity Candle has a large candle in the middle signifying the Family, a candle for each parent and a candle for each child (up to 7).  The candle lighting ceremony is a beautiful ceremony to include every one who will be part of the new family being formed.
