The Dedication Point Overlook is on the main highway just past the entrance to the "loop". It has a Heliport and covered picnic area and overlooks Calico Basin.  Located 20 miles west of Las Vegas, this 83,100 acre area provides scenic drives, hiking trails, picnic areas, biking and a beautiful and interesting wedding site in the Overlook.  The most significant geological feature of Red Rock Canyon is the Keystone Thrust Fault that is 65 million years old and displays grey limestone thrusting up and over red sandstone.
